The first conflict ever recorded in recent history on American soil was in 1565. The French and Spanish War was fought in what is now called Florida and lasted just about two years. Although some of our members are getting up there in years, we don't have any Veterans of that war. However, we do have our share of World War II Veterans right off the beaches of Normandy.
The New Point Comfort Fire Company is proud of each and every one of our members who have served valiantly in the United States Armed Services, in War Time or Peace, whether they enlisted for the National Guard or were drafted into Vietnam.
The Borough of Keansburg has two monuments dedicated to our local War Veterans. The World War I Memorial located on Church Street in front of Fallon Manor and the World War II Memorial which is located in Carr Avenue right across from New Point Comfort Fire Company. (There are three other Memorials in Keansburg, you can read more about them HERE and HERE)
Below you will find a list of our current members who have served in nearly every conflict from World War II to todays Active Military.
