When To Call Emergency Medical Services (EMS)?
Emergency: Dial 911


Call EMS if:
  • The person is unconscious, semi-conscious or unusually confused.
  • The person's airway is blocked.
  • The person is not breathing.
  • The person is having difficulty breathing, shortness of breath or is choking.
  • The person has no pulse.
  • The person has bleeding that won't stop.
  • The person is coughing up or vomiting blood.
  • The person has been poisoned
  • The person has a seizure for the first time or a seizure that lasts more than 5 minutes.
  • The person has injuries to the head neck or back.
  • The person has sudden, severe pain anywhere in the body.
  • The person's condition is limb-threatening (for example, severe eye injuries, amputations or other injuries that may leave the person permanently disabled unless he/she receives immediate care.)
  • The person's condition could worsen or become life-threatening on the way to the hospital.
  • Moving the person could cause further injury.
  • The person needs the skills or equipment of paramedics or emergency medical technicians.
  • Distance or traffic conditions would cause a delay in getting the person to the hospital.
If any of the above conditions exist, or if you are not sure, it is best to call EMS.

Half Price Bingo:
The Ladies Auxiliary of the New Point Comfort Fire Company will be hosting a weekly Half Price Bingo through the end of the year. Games are on Thursday nights. Selling starts at 7:00 PM and Games start at 8:00 PM.

The Wolfetones:

On Friday, March 2, 2012 the New Point Comfort Fire Company will be presenting The Wolfetones Live and in Concert in our Charles Gee Memorial Hall. Tickets are only $25 per person and the doors open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are available now at the Fire Company or you can contact us through our e-mail or on Facebook.


Gift Auction: DATE CHANGE 

The Ladies Auxiliary of the New Point Comfort Fire Company is hosting their annual Gift Auction on Saturday, March 10, 2012. Doors open at 6:00 PM and the Calling starts at 8:00 PM. Admission is only $5.00 and is available to be paid at the door. Bring your friends, family and all the snacks you want, it's always a fun time.


Steakbake:

Keansburg PBA Local 68 will be hosting their 8th Annual Steakbake on Friday, March 16, 2012. The event starts at 7:00 p.m. and is being held at the New Point Comfort Fire Company located at 192 Carr Avenue in Keansburg. Tickets are $45 per person and includes DJ entertainment by "No Limit," food, beer & soda. The all-you-can-eat beefsteak dinner also comes with salad, bread, pickles & olives and an ice cream dessert with coffee & tea.  Tickets can be purchased by contacting any member of the PBA or by calling Ptl. Sandy Burton or Ptl. Rich Johnson at Police Headquarters (732) 787-0600.
